I use it to make crepes, which are like thin pancakes. I’ve never used it for pasta. If I were making low carb pasta, I would use my Sprouted Low Carb Flour Mix. It has more carbs per cup than this mix, but it has real wheat and white (sprouted) flours in it, so will be more like real pasta. If you are celiac, you can’t use that mix. If you are gluten-sensitive, you can try small amounts and see how it does for you since many people who can’t tolerate gluten (note: not those with celiac) can use sprouted flours okay. Let me now if you make pasta with that sprouted mix! I’d love to hear your results.
Thanks so much for sharing your results. You look so good, and you have inspired me to try a more structured version of the Keto Diet. I lost some weight recently on HCG 2.0, which puts you into ketosis (keto flu and all!). I have tried to maintain my weight loss with a version of the Keto Diet, but I know that I am probably still eating too many carbs and not enough fat. I am 47, and I contine to have issues with keeping the weight off despite a healthy diet and exercise. I am sure it is hormone-related.
Hi all, keto here. This recipe “works” fine. I formed cute little cavatelli by pressing/rolling little cylinders of the dough off the tines of a fork. I fried them as directed and they kept their shape perfectly during frying and saucing. But the texture was still mush to the tooth. Also the coconut taste is present on the tongue, even though I cheated and floured the fork and my thumb with AP flour while forming the cavatelli. The coconut taste clashed with my bolognese sauce.

I was healthy but my dr told me start diet, any diet just come back in a month I want to see you start loosing… I started Atkins and lost 7 pound in a month. She was checking my progress every six months and checking my condition. I lost 64 pounds in 3 years. Now I started eating out of control. I am eating healthy but too much… I gain 40 pound back after 20 years. Now I will start again my Atkins to take off 30 pounds…

I’ve done the micro version for slices and it was quite good. Today trying the loaf recipe – but with the micro version and this one my mix never comes out like a batter – more like a moist dough. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong please? I have to say though that you are wonderful giving me a non carb bread – my husband loves bread and needs to lose weight. Many thanks!
2. Adzuki Bean Pasta from ExploreAsian, Gluten-Free: This one has a different flavor than it’s black bean counterpart, and has twice as many carbs. But at 11 grams of carbs per serving, that’s still a lot fewer carbs than traditional pasta. You could even mix this pasta into the pot of boiling water with the black bean pasta to change things up and reduce the carbs in your bowl at the same time. (This company has some higher carb bean pasta variations, too!)

As with cold cereals, your best bet for a low-carb breakfast cereal comes in the form of whole grains. Oatmeal is an excellent choice because it is high in fiber and contains a substance called beta-glucan, which slows down the digestive process. That means you will stay full throughout the morning. Bran cereals can also be eaten hot, and whole grains such as quinoa or grits can be flavored to be either savory or sweet. Quinoa goes especially well with walnuts and raisins, dates or dried figs. I greased the inside of the mould with melted butter first making sure I didn’t miss the cone or donut hole. I baked in a foster oven until there were 5 mins left. 3.25° for 30mins. When 5 mins were left I turned off the oven and let them sit in the remaining heat for 5 mins. Took them out and set them to cool for a while. Once they were cool I turned them over on to wax paper and they came out no problem nothing stuck even the donut hole.

I was on the ketogenic diet for 6 months to support my husband, who is on it permanently for epilepsy. The diet totally messed with my hormones, which my doctor and my husband’s nutritionist sadly confirmed was a possibility. I am continuing to eat low-carb, but the ketogenic thing unfortunately seemed to work against me as a 49-year old pre-menopausal woman.
