Then on the nutrition label, it reads, Low carb. Also the nutrition label does not list as a category, the carb count. All nutrition labels that read “Low Carb” would have a line item for the carbs, even if its <1g. Although, I personally have never seen a label that reads Low Carb as part of the nutrition label it's self, maybe in the ad area though.

Hi!! I have been following you since I started Keto…. Dec 26, 2017. I have lost 41 lbs since then and in the last 3 weeks I can not seem to get the scale to move nor are the inches changing… I am 58 yrs old and lightly active (I work in retail and am on my feet all day.. 10 hrs per day… operating register, stocking soda, candy… putting grocery truck away) I have been running my macros at 16 carbs (I do not do net) fat 97gm and protein is 78gms which is for my calorie intake of 1258 5/70/25…. I am at a total loss as to what steps I need to take…but for the most part I generally only get in 700-900 calories per day… I am just not hungry. Days off are nightmares…. it seems all I want to do is eat… I have NO “bad” foods in my house… I mostly eat veggies on my days off… asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, cabbage, radishes cooked in an oil of some sort olive, avocado, sesame……. I dearly love tomatoes but eat them sparingly.

AMAZING! I just made this bread and I can’t believe how perfect it is! My fiance and I are doing low carb. Not quite keto but trying to stay close to that range of carb intake! Honestly I’ve just been saying I’m avoiding bread, potatoes, and pasta. Either way this bread rocks. The only substitutions I made to the recipe was plain seltzer water in place of the still water. Wanted to give the dough some extra lift. I also put some pumpkin and sunflower seeds on top to increase the heartiness. This bread came out rocking our socks off. FRUITS: Don't choose fruit juices—you're just paying someone to take the fiber out of your food. Instead, eat the fruit itself, and get 3.1 grams of fiber. You can get a serious fiber bang for your carb buck with berries (a half cup of raspberries adds 4 fiber grams, blackberries add 3.8 and blueberries or strawberries add 1.7) and kiwis (2.7 grams per fruit). Can I use two instead, and substitute with flax eggs for the other two? I have a lot of flax in my cupboard and I am looking for creative ways to use it up. LOVE keto! I started January 23rd and have lost 17 lbs!! One more lb and I will have lost 10% of my body weight. I am so excited about these results and feel great! I wish I had taken before pics, but people are noticing. I was “winging” keto for most of this time, not truly counting macros. Just yesterday I downloaded carb manager and boy was it eye opening! I feel I am now better equipped to make this work. Most importantly, I’m excited to see what my A1C is next month. By my lab values, I am a diabetic. It runs rampant in my family. My 1st attempt & it was delish w/unsweetened organic coconut milk.Had no hazelnuts & only half the amount of almonds so I substituted extra pecans. Used unground flax & also added additional 2 tbs ground flax for more fiber. Added 1 tbs vanilla. Used a combo of sweeteners: Eryth, Xylitol & Stevia. Next time will grind ingredients separately to get a more chunky result.

I personally think it has a mild taste (I understand what you mean about almonds can sometimes have a strong taste). Why not make a small recipe first to see if you like it. With all low carb flours (like coconut flour also) if you are sensitive to their subtle taste, you can help the recipe by adding more flavour such as vanilla for a sweet recipe, or cheese and spices if it is a savoury recipe.
Hi Kathy, Almond flour doesn’t rise very much, but if they didn’t at all, it might be that you need newer baking powder. Falling apart is also likely due to the baking time I had in the original recipe, and I’ve updated it for a better result. Check the post for new tips! Cookies sound like an interesting idea, too, though I think the batter might be too liquid to form them.
